Next Week in Class: May 22-26, 2017

CELL PHONES AND DEVICES:
–All student cell phones, iPods, Apple watches, and other electronic devices are to be turned completely off and kept in backpacks for the entire school day.
–Phones signaling during class have become a problem. These phones will be taken up and kept by the teacher until the end of the day.
–For repeat occurrences after one warning, the phones will be taken to the office and parents will have to pick them up.

BIRTHDAYS:
No birthdays this week.

BIRTHDAY TREAT POLICY:
–Birthday treats will be eaten in the classroom at 3:00.
–You may bring the treats at 3:00 or send the treats to school with your child.
–It would help us to know ahead of time that you are bringing/sending a treat.

A.R. STATS AND UPDATES:
–The afternoon class won the A.R. points competition for the fourth nine weeks!
–Congratulations to the 31 students who met the 10-point goal at least once. Way to go, students!
–Winners with the most points are Marley Morris with over 110! Riley Richarson with over 70! And the following with over 60–Caden Parizek, Sylvia Rapp, Rose Drinkworth, and Conner St. Francis! Congratulations, boys and girls!

FRED LOG:
–None this week.

WEEKLY FOLDERS:
–Bring your signed Weekly Folder back by Monday for a reward ticket!
–All Weekly Folders are due by Tuesday.
–No corrections/redo’s this week.

SNACKS:
–You may bring a snack and a permanent water bottle with closable lid.
–You may also purchase a snack from the cafeteria during the morning snack time.
–We have a “no share” policy in our classroom due to food allergies.

THIS WEEK IN CLASS:

Monday we will go through a process of organizing and clearing things out for the year and will read our class novel.

Tuesday we will have games & electronics day (you may bring some from home, labeled) and read our class novel.

Spelling
–No Spelling Packet. No Spelling test.

Language
–No Mountain Language this week.
–No Language quiz.

Reading
–No Vocabulary Practice. No Vocabulary quiz.
–Reading a class novel, Making Bombs for Hitler.
